About us

Dependable Fab & Repair is a family-owned business providing dependable repair at an honest price to the Montgomery, TX area.

Richard and Stephanie Henkes, owners, wanted to start a business that would allow Richard to be closer to home instead of traveling all over Texas to work on vehicles and farm equipment. They also saw a need for more affordably priced, honest mechanics who will only recommend repairs that are needed.

Richard grew up on a farm where, at a young age, he learned how to weld and work on tractors and farm equipment. He has an associates degree in diesel mechanics from TSTI (now known as TSTC) in Waco. He has worked on everything from small motors to trailers to rebuilding Dodge Cummins motor and large four-wheel drive tractor transmissions with 97 friction discs.
